1. Who runs this site

makemycarselfdriving.com ("the site") is operated by MADITECH LLC ("MADITECH", "we", "us"), a private company. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2. Using the site

You may view and use the site for lawful purposes. Do not try to break, overload or gain unauthorized access to the site or the systems behind it, and do not use it to send spam or harmful code.

3. The content

The site's text, design and code belong to MADITECH unless stated otherwise. Names and marks of other organizations belong to their owners; mentioning them does not mean they endorse or are affiliated with us. The information on the site is general information, may change without notice, and is not professional, legal, financial, medical or investment advice. Images and 3D scenes on the site are illustrations, not photos of real installations or of any manufacturer's hardware.

4. Driver assistance, safety and no affiliation

"Make My Car Self Driving" is the name of this site, not a description of what any product does. openpilot and similar systems are driver-assistance systems, not autonomous or self-driving systems. When any such system is in use, the driver must keep their eyes on the road, stay ready to take control at all times, and remains fully responsible for the vehicle and for obeying traffic laws. Follow the system maker's instructions and limitations and the law where you drive.

Whether a vehicle is supported depends on its exact year, make, model, trim, equipment, market and the current software. Any compatibility answer we give is our reading of comma.ai's published supported-car information on the day we check it. That information can change, and the final word on support belongs to comma.ai. Our answer is information, not a guarantee, and not a promise that a system will work on your vehicle or behave a particular way.

Installing or using aftermarket driver-assistance equipment can affect how your vehicle's factory systems behave and may have consequences for your vehicle warranty, insurance or local legal requirements. Those are decisions for you to check and make.

This site is independent. MADITECH is not comma.ai, is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by comma.ai, and is not an authorized comma installer. comma, comma.ai and openpilot are names of their owners. We do not sell hardware on this site.

5. What you send us

If you send us a message through the site, you are responsible for what it contains. Do not send anything unlawful or anything you do not have the right to share. How we handle what you send is described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Links to other sites

The site links to websites we do not control, including comma.ai and nhtsa.gov. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.

7. No warranty

The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not promise that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MADITECH and its owners, employees and contractors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the site. Our total liability for any claim about the site is limited to one hundred U.S. dollars ($100). Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you, and nothing in these terms limits any right you have that the law does not allow to be waived.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.

10. Changes

We may update these terms by posting a new version on this page with a new version date. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
